Our Homecare Training is delivered by Frontline Training Services, the minimum requirement QQI Level 5 5N2770 Care Skills and 5N2706 Care of the Older Person. Applewood Home Care understand that excellent training follows on from their excellence in recruitment of carers. Saturday, September 2nd (10 AM – 4.30 PM) Care of the Older Person
Sunday, September 3rd (10 AM – 4.30 PM) Care of the Older Person
Monday September 4th  (5PM – 10 PM) Care Skills
Saturday, September 16th (10 AM – 4.30 PM) Care Skills
Sunday, September 17th (10 AM – 4.30 PM) Care Skills
Monday, September 18th (11 AM – 9 PM) Assessment day – both modules (Attend for one hour on that day) within this timeframe

This blended learning approach is multi-faceted. Carers have an opportunity to develop their practical and reflective skills in classroom. Further theoretical training takes place online through tutor interaction in the online community, videos and reflective opportunities. Access to the Learner Management System will continue until February 28th. Carers will submit their assignments for these modules on that date.

COST: €390 for both modules including certification. This is a special rate negotiated for our carers.

This integrated carer training uses a blended learning approach, this includes workshops, learner support workbooks, options to access additional content through a user friendly Learning Management System, in addition participants have access to an online community where they can interact with other students and tutors.

Our experiential approach to teaching really comes to life on this course. Carers will learn the how to support their own mental and physical health through a range of classroom and online activities.

Frontline Training Services are appointed by Irish Times Training to deliver Health and Social Care QQI programmes.
