QQI Level 5 Care Skills 5N2770 will help learners gain confidence in supporting activities of daily living and the hygiene needs of dependent clients and gain competence in the maintenance of a safe and hygienic environments. Learners will develop their confidence to carry out practical tasks ensuring best practice and person centred care is promoted when the learner enters the workplace. Learners will also develop competence in utilising a range of equipment.
This depends on your prior knowledge and experience, your current care skills, as well as your rate of learning. This blended learning course requires 3 full days of learning directed through workshops and structured content that is integrated with work based learning and learner support materials. All learners will conduct work based peer appraisals of their skills and engage in a structured mentoring process with their employer. The remaining time will be completed through self-directed studies and preparing for assessments. It is essential that learners are either working in a care setting or seek a work placement when attending this course.

Our inclusive and integrated programme offers learners a range of mediums to engage in the learning experience outside the classroom and this includes access to an easy to use Learner Management System that can accessed through handheld devices such as smartphones. Learners can also engage with tutors and other learners through our online community. Our supportive tutors ensure a really engaging learning experience.
