QQI Care Support (5N0758)
This module is mandatory on the Nationally Accredited Award QQI Health Service Skills Award, learners can complete this as a Minor Award or as part of/leading to a Major Award in either Health Service Skills or Community Health Services. QQI Care Support is a blended learning course is delivered over a week-end workshop and completed with 6 weeks using our online Learner Management System.

Learning outcomes in this programme is structured around four units:

Working with Others
Relating to the Client
Reflection and Development.
Learners explore the function of the healthcare service and define the role of the care worker in Ireland within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and reflect on relationships with clients, relatives and others.
Learners must demonstrate the ability to plan and provide enhanced quality care and apply knowledge gained to meet the needs of each individual client.
They must explore strategies for improving personal development and reflect on personal effectiveness as a care worker, including an analysis of personal strengths and challenges in care work and in providing Care Support.
Learner Record: 70%
All modules are current and delivered in line with current national legislation incorporating National HIQA standards. Frontline Training Services are Authors of the Core Text for the Major Award – Caring for People in Community Health Services published by Gill & Macmillian.
