Train the Trainer for Healthcare is a course that Frontline Training are delighted to market on behalf of Leinster Institute of Professional Development. This Train the Trainer course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to run training courses that will inspire and motivate your delegates. This course will be tailored to develop trainers to work in Health and Social Care. Over the five weeks, time is divided between tutorial sessions and practical skill development and in addition to all of this you will have access to our state of the art Learning Management System


Overall, the programme has been designed to support the development and enhancement of the following core competencies through 2 core modules:

Module 1: Training Needs Identification & Design 6N3325
Module 2: Training Delivery & Evaluation 6N3326 

The course covers the nature of training, the trainer’s role and how people learn. The course also covers how to design a training programme and with particular emphasis on how to retain the interest of the learners. The course also deals with how to deal with questions in a professional manner. The course will comprehensively supply you with the skills and competence to organise and deliver training courses that motivate the learner and produces results. You are guaranteed to walk away adequately equipped with the correct attributes to train individuals to a very high standard. This will even enable you to immediately start training people!




Who should apply

The Train the Trainer programme is essential for those who wish to progress their career or have just been promoted to a training or coaching role. You must have a minimum Level 5 Qualification in your Vocational field. It is also of great value for those who wish to refresh their training and/or presentation skills. This course will also benefit those who have become Training Managers and wish to know the fundamentals of developing organisational training programmes focusing on implementing training policy and improving staff competency levels.

Course Content

Module 1: Training Needs Identification & Design 6N3325
The aim of this award is to facilitate learners through the discovery and understanding of how adults learn, how to plan and structure training delivery objectives while giving encouragement to delivering a training session successfully. This course will provide the learner with the ability to deliver, assess and evaluate a range of training and developments interventions. The course will outline the concepts and theories of training and development with a specific emphasis on adult learning styles. Learners will explore the principles of effectiveness of the training and learning environment including the Trainer, specific learning methodologies as well as an understanding of group dynamics.

Module 2: Training Delivery & Evaluation 6N3326 
The overall aim of this award is to develop learners’ skills in the broad area of training needs analysis (TNA) while also enhancing a deeper understanding of how organisational/business strategy can influence training and development opportunities. Identifying learning and development needs is based on formal and/or informal assessment of workplace skills, attitudes and knowledge as well as on any current or anticipated gaps. By acquiring the skills to analyse such gaps, will enable the organisation to make clear and cost effective decisions about the actual learning provisions that are required.

This 5 week course will run over 5 Friday’s from 9.30 to 4.30 PM, this course is commencing 15th March 2019 at Philip & Sons Office, Unit 3D, Southern Link Business Park, Newbridge Road, Naas, Co. Kildare
